Knowledge Sources

Knowledge sources are the lifeblood of Triage. They represent the various platforms where your company's information lives—ticketing systems, documentation wikis, chat logs, and code repositories.

Triage uses Fivetran's robust connector ecosystem to securely ingest data from these sources, ensuring your AI agents always have access to the most up-to-date context.

AI Ready Knowledge Sources

The following sources are "AI Ready," meaning Triage has specialized data models and indexing strategies to optimize them for search.

Access Control

Knowledge sources inherit access control from the knowledge bases they belong to. A user can only search a knowledge source if they have access to at least one knowledge base containing that source.

For example, if a knowledge source "JiraEngineering" is added to two knowledge bases:

  • EngineeringKB (private, user is a member)
  • SupportKB (private, user is NOT a member)

The user can search "JiraEngineering" because they have access through the EngineeringKB.

Getting Access

If you don't have access to a knowledge source you need, contact your account admin. Admins can grant you access by either:

  • Adding you as a member to a knowledge base that contains the source
  • Changing the knowledge base's access level to "public"

Refresh Frequency

After the initial historical sync and indexing is complete, Triage automatically re-indexes your knowledge sources every 24 hours to keep the data fresh.

At this time, there is no way to:

  • Change the indexing frequency
  • Manually trigger an indexing run
  • Manually trigger a historical re-sync

If you need to modify these settings or trigger a manual sync for any reason, please contact the Triage team at triage@fivetran.com.

If you need an immediate refresh of a knowledge source, the current workaround is to delete the knowledge source and create a new one. This will trigger a fresh historical sync and indexing.
